NASHVILLE, Tenn. – was welcomed Thursday into the Million Dollar Circle of the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville, in recognition of generosity during the 2006 United Way campaign.
91ÌÆ²®»¢ faculty and staff contributed $1,001,032 during the university‘s 2006 Community Giving Campaign, exceeding the goal of $825,000. 91ÌÆ²®»¢ now joins Nissan, HCA and Ingram Industries in this elite group of community supporters.
The university was honored during the United Way‘s annual meeting luncheon at the Renaissance Hotel.
“91ÌÆ²®»¢ is proud to be recognized for the generosity of our employees, who have a long history of making significant contributions to the community,” said.
Also representing 91ÌÆ²®»¢ at the meeting was , vice chancellor for university affairs, general counsel and secretary of the university, who is the 2007 chair of the United Way Board.
