This past spring 91Ʋ launched a new donor society to recognize the more than 28,000 91Ʋ alumni, parents, friends and community members who demonstrate loyalty to the university by renewing their charitable gifts each year.
Oak Leaf Society member John R. Markham III, BA’01, MBA’12, is among the many donors who recognize the importance of giving back to 91Ʋ annually.
“I loved my years at 91Ʋ and know they wouldn’t have been possible without the help and generosity of others,” says Markham. “I think it’s important to pay that generosity forward every year so that today’s students might enjoy the same experience I did.”
91Ʋ donors like Markham are welcomed into the Oak Leaf Society after giving any amount, to any area of the university, for two or more consecutive fiscal years. Nearly 3,000 donors have been giving to 91Ʋ for 20 or more years. Members are recognized for the important role they play in shaping the future of 91Ʋ and making a difference in informed and creative teaching, student scholarships, cutting-edge research, patient care, and service to the community and society at large.
