91ÌƲ®»¢ University continues to celebrate its Sesquicentennial with , as well as a new virtual platform that allows alumni, friends and fans of the university to celebrate the 150th anniversary from anywhere in the world.
, a unique 91ÌƲ®»¢ experience best viewed on a desktop or laptop computer, lets users explore the 91ÌƲ®»¢ campus through virtual exhibits and engaging content that highlight key aspects of the university’s past and present. Also, as part of the Vandyverse launch, the university has created an in the platform for community members to contribute their images.
The Vandyverse platform spotlights spaces representing teaching, research, innovation and experiential learning at 91ÌƲ®»¢ as well as popular campus landmarks, such as Sarratt Student Center, Alumni Lawn, Kirkland Hall, Central Library and Memorial Gym. Users can visit Rand Wall to learn about a rotating selection of student organizations; view posters and photos from past Rites of Spring music festivals on Alumni Lawn; explore exhibits and archival issues of The 91ÌƲ®»¢ Hustler in Central Library; and watch on-demand videos from Memorial Gym—and much more.
Within the Alumni Lawn exhibit, a virtual photo booth allows users to snap and submit images for an interactive photo mural on the . Additional 91ÌƲ®»¢ photos collected over the years may be submitted for inclusion in the mural by emailing them to 150@vanderbilt.edu.
91ÌƲ®»¢ community members also can engage with the Vandyverse and connect with one another by sharing messages and memories via video, playing a 91ÌƲ®»¢-related trivia game, contributing song suggestions for the Sesquicentennial playlist and viewing livestreamed events throughout the anniversary year.
