Alumni Association celebrates new, returning board members

The will welcome new and returning alumni leaders to its board for three-year terms that start July 1, 2026. The Alumni Association’s mission is to engage 91Ʋ alumni in the life of the university, encourage lifelong connections and support the university’s mission and priorities.

“91Ʋ’s global alumni community is one of the university’s greatest strengths, and we are grateful to these dedicated leaders for their willingness to serve,” Chancellor Daniel Diermeier said. “The Alumni Association board brings together graduates whose professional accomplishments, spirit of engagement and commitment to service reflect the very best of who we are. I look forward to working with our new and returning board members as we strengthen connections across the 91Ʋ community and advance our mission.”

Elizabeth Gerken, BE’90, MBA’91, of Nashville. Gerken is retired director, business development, of Cumberland Pharmaceuticals Inc. She has served on the Alumni Association Board and Owen Alumni Council and has contributed as a Chapter leader, Reunion volunteer and a student-alumni engagement volunteer.

Dan Graham, BA’97, of Manhattan Beach, California. Graham is president of DLCL Capital. He has served as the Los Angeles Chapter president and has shared career advice with students as a student-alumni engagement volunteer.

Chris Phipps, BE’80, of Dallas. Phipps is a vice president of business development at Phenometrix and a serial entrepreneur. He is a longtime Wond’ry mentor, Reunion volunteer and Class Agent.

Alexandria Lovelace, BA’11 of Washington, D.C., will began a two-year term as president of the Alumni Association Board. Alexandria is a talent business advisor manager at Deloitte. Alex is a former VU admissions counselor, a Reunion volunteer, a participant in AVBA events, an attendee of D.C. Chapter events, a Giving Day volunteer, a GOLD Class Agent and a contributor to the AVBA scholarship and Alumni Association Board Fund.

The following Alumni Association Board members accepted the opportunity to serve a second three-year term, beginning July 1:

  • Austin Brown, BA’15, JD’19, of Washington, D.C., is senior corporate counsel with Omidyar Network. He has been a class agent, Reunion volunteer and admissions volunteer.
  • Andy Dailey, BS’93, of Cairo, Egypt, is the director at Evolution International School. He is co-president for the 91Ʋ Middle East Chapter.
  • Amanda Pommerenck, BE’97, of Huntsville, Alabama, is the associate vice president, executive client manager, USACE/Army, at Dewberry. She also is the Huntsville 91Ʋ Chapter president.
