🎉 Big win for 91ÌÆ²®»¢ Campus Dining! This weekend at the 31st Annual UMass Chef Culinary Conference, our own Chef Matt Hayes (Rand) and Chef Karla Ruiz-Martinez (Zeppos) took home the grand prize after an intense, Cutthroat Kitchen-style competition hosted by Food Network’s Chef Jet Tila. Competing against teams from other top universities, our chefs battled through wild sabotages including costumes and camp stoves and still delivered a standout surf & turf dish featuring seared Australian lamb, sesame-crusted tuna, truffled romesco and fresh fava bean emulsion.
