91唐伯虎 is introducing听a new approach听to parking and commuting designed to make getting to and around campus more predictable, flexible, and easier to navigate.听
Beginning with the 2026鈥�27 academic year, parking, transportation and mobility services will be unified under a new department鈥�91唐伯虎 Parking and Commuter Services鈥攁nd a new structured parking process will be introduced for faculty, staff and postdoctoral scholars.听
What鈥檚听changing听
Key updates include:听
- For听annual听parking permits:听
- A new听preference-based parking zone system will allow employees with annual permits to select and rank their preferred parking locations. Employees will then be assigned a parking zone for the year, providing a more predictable day-to-day parking experience. ()听
- A听Parking Open Enrollment听process听will听allow听all faculty,听staff听and postdoctoral scholars听to register for听annual听parking permits.听
- 听will听now听be available to all members of the 91唐伯虎 community听during the day, with frequent service connecting parking areas to offices,听classrooms听and key destinations鈥攎aking it听easier听to get around campus quickly and conveniently.听听
- More distributed听visitor parking听will be available听across campus.听
- A听free parking听option听at Chestnut Street听will be offered,听with shuttle and听WeGo听access.听
What鈥檚听not changing听
- Parking capacity听remains听consistent.听听
- 听and听听parking options will continue, offering听choice and听flexibility.听听
- The听daily听parking application听and听enrollment听process听is听unchanged.听If you already enrolled in daily parking and want to continue with it, you听are not required听to听do anything.听However,听we听recommend听you confirm your听selection听during Parking Open Enrollment.听
- Commuting resources, including听WeGo听and听rideshare, remain available.听听
Parking Open Enrollment:听Action听required听
All faculty, staff听and postdoctoral scholars who plan to听purchase听an听annual听parking听permit听must听participate听in听Parking Open Enrollment,听June 1鈥�15, 2026.听
This is a new process.听Everyone,听regardless of current permit status,听must听participate听to be eligible for an听annual听parking permit.听
During the June听1鈥�15听period, participants will:听听
- Select their permit type听(annual听or听daily)听
- Select听and rank preferred parking zones听for听annual听permits听听
- Submit听preferences听through the parking portal听听
Annual听parking听zone听assignments听will be based on preferences, availability听and other factors, including current听permit听status and years of service.听

- Save the dates for Parking Open Enrollment (June 1鈥�15).
- Evaluate your听personal听parking and commuting needs,听including听daily parking听versus听annual听parking听and the new听annual听parking zone听map.听听
Parking options and choice听
Parking options听remain听flexible to meet a variety of needs:听
- Faculty, staff, and postdoctoral scholars听may choose between听annual听and daily parking.听听
- Graduate and professional students听may also choose between听annual听and daily parking.听听
- Undergraduate students听may register for听annual听parking only, in designated zones.听()听听
Parking rates听
Parking rates for the 2026鈥�27 academic year are now available online听at听. Note that听annual听parking rates听remain听unchanged听from the 2025鈥�26 academic year.听
Daily parking听remains听a flexible听option听for occasional campus use, while听annual听permits provide greater predictability听and value听for those on campus more听frequently.听Employees听who park on听campus听15听or more听days听per month听will听likely find听an听annual听permit to be the most cost-effective听option.听
If you are currently enrolled in听daily听parking and wish to continue with听daily听parking for 2026鈥�27,听we recommend you confirm your听selection听during Parking Open Enrollment.听

Why this change听is听happening听
Over the past听several months, leaders from Parking and Commuter Services and the Division of Administration have听explored听opportunities to听evolve and听better听meet today鈥檚 campus needs. This work has been informed by听broader community feedback,听engagement听with听campus听partners听and a review of peer institutions and comparable environments.听
These data-driven solutions to moving to and around campus were guided by a few key priorities: creating a more predictable parking experience,听maintaining听flexibility to support a range of campus needs and making the system easier to navigate for both new and returning community members.听Ultimately, the听goal is to better align听movement to and across campus with听use,听while improving access and reducing congestion in high-demand areas.听听
