Faculty are invited to apply for the Provost’s Faculty Grants for Immersion 91ÌƲ®»¢, which provide up to $5,000 to support faculty-mentored cohorts of two or more students through an immersive experience and/or culminating project.Ìý
The grants support a wide range of experiences that connect students with research, creative work, community engagement, study away and other forms of experiential learning. During the 2025–26 academic year, faculty from across 91ÌƲ®»¢ led Immersion cohorts through experiences including an international study program in Brazil focused on Salvador’s cultural landscape; a weeklong musical and cultural exchange in Portugal; a photography and interview project documenting the work of nurse-midwives; and biomedical research exploring topics like tissue-engineered microvasculature, drug delivery and microfluidic devices.Ìý
Faculty may apply for up to two grants for distinct cohorts. Grant funds may support expenses directly related to the student experience or culminating project and, for eligible non-credit-bearing proposals, may also be accepted as a salary supplement. Priority will be given to proposals that include culminating projects for students graduating during the 2026–27 academic year.Ìý
